There goes media mileage mare... hay, today is truly uneventful. How much emotional baggage and depression could drive a man to involve others to his dilemma? How could a policeman who had served well in the past decades become so full of anger? I cannot blame Sr. Inspector Rolando Mendoza, but I do not agree with his means.

May God be our source of strength... and justice.

oh i remember when Lola Anday (Garcia) passed away and we were having lunch at her house in Sual, Lolo Juan and Lolo Esting (Mama's father) were there talking. And then Lolo Esting looked at me, and told me "Ang mga Lola mo, mga segunda mano" (your grandmothers are second-hand) pertaining to Lola Pat and Lola Coring who are their respective second wives. They were laughing (of course the Lolas weren't there hehe). But since I have never known my "real" grandmothers, I really consider Lola Pat and Lola Coring as the real ones. Especially Lola Coring, who took care of me when both my parents had to leave Sual. Sigh. I would surely like to see Lola Pat soon.

i guess it's a gradual thing - kids defy the authority to see how far they can go. and I imagine that it will get more "challenging" as the years go by. i am also bracing for the eventuality of having a (new) husband (cross fingers) in the future, and if we are blessed with a new child, that's another challenge. phew. but anyway, parenthood never ends, does it? i mean for most people, even after their parents has passed, they still ask their parents for "guidance". in my case, I am glad my mom is here.
